We only collect what the platform needs to work, and we sell nothing to third parties.

Data controller

What data

• Your e-mail, first name, state, language and IP address when you log in.
• Your listings, messages, orders, offers, favourites and ratings.
• The result of the identity check (verified or not) and an encrypted fingerprint of your ID document and bank account, from which they cannot be reconstructed. The photos of your document and your selfie are processed by Stripe; we never see them.

Why, and on what basis

To perform our contract with you (account, listings, protected payment, messaging), for our legitimate interest in preventing scams and duplicate accounts, and to meet legal obligations (PStTG/DAC7, anti-money-laundering rules through Stripe). E-mails about your activity are necessary for the service; we send no advertising.

With whom

Stripe Payments Europe (payments and identity checks, an independent controller for those operations), our hosting provider Infomaniak in Switzerland, and the tax authorities where the law requires it. Nobody else.

For how long

As long as your account exists, then 10 years for order data (accounting obligation). After you delete your account, only the encrypted fingerprint is kept to enforce the “one account per person” rule.

Your rights (GDPR)

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability: write to kontakt@ridermarkt.de. You can delete your account at any time from “My account”. You may also complain to the data protection authority of your federal state.

Cookies

Only a session cookie to log you in and remember your listing draft. No advertising or tracking cookies.
